About
History of the Lumber
The Tappan Zee Bridge, a marvel of its time, spanned the Hudson River from 1955 until its replacement in 2017. Built with a modest budget, the bridge used durable timbers from local New York forests, including Northern Heart Pine, Hemlock, and Spruce. These logs, some over a century old, have been carefully reclaimed and transformed into beautiful, unique building materials. Today, they form the heart of our mini homes and products, each piece carrying a piece of history and craftsmanship.
About 1 million board feet have been carefully selected and acquired by TapNZ.
